What is Padlet?

     -Before writing this blog, I used padlet to answer some questions about learning, so I had a chance to get familiar with padlet and I am going to share my experiences and knowledge about it with you.


-Padlet is a website that allows students and teachers to interact effectively in an online platform.Users can write or add a video or image on a board on which many activities are realized.If you want to use it, too as a teacher or learner or someone interested, create an account on this link: https://tr.padlet.com and then create your own board.After that, share link to your board on padlet with others so that they can see and attend to the board.You can use padlet for a lot of reasons such as learning what your students think about a lesson topic or exchanging opinions with your co-workers about an issue that is important to your busin-ess.This also lets you save time.One aspect of padlet that I like is enhancing your creativity, because padl-et lets you see what others write or think about any thing no matter whether you are creator of the board or not.Others' ideas can make a contribution to your ideas and thus to your creativity.It encourages cooper-ation between participants and helps us bring an output that many people contributed to not only on their own but also interacting with each other.

Interface and how to use

-Padlet has a simple interface.After creating your board, you will gain access to your own space.You can write a title and explanation for what purpose the board will be used in order to give insight to visitors of your board.Then, you will have an opportunity to choose an appropriate wallpaper for your board.

-Padlet allows you to write on columns, so your writing will look side by side.You can add diverse things such as links, voice records, pictures below your writing, which indicates that padlet is a rich platform that provides its users with different options.

-Padlet provides you with different formats for different purposes.They are canvas, wall, shelf, stream, grid, timeline and map, all of which have simple and advanced forms.You can choose any format that you want to use while developing your board.However, it is important to take into account that you should develop your board according to the purpose for which you will use padlet, because the way you design your board differs from one format to another.For example, if you choose canvas, your board may look like mind map.

-It is up to you to allow others to comment on your padlet board and up/downvote your posts or not.I am recommending you to do so.In this way, you can have an idea about whether your boards are liked or not.

-In summary, padlet is a wonderful platform that teachers and students can do activities together.As a teacher candidate, I am recommending this platform and planning to use it to diversify my materials when I become a real teacher.
