What is Edpuzzle?

-Edpuzzle is a learning platform on which you can make your videos or ones found on Internet interactive by adding questions and audio or written notes. You can create virtual classes and share these interactive videos with your students. It also allows you to upload a video from your computer. If you haven't prepared your own video, you can search diverse contents that edpuzzle itself provides or others provided by different internet platforms like youtube, khan academy, national geographic, whose accesses are available on Edpuzzle.

How to use?

-There are some interactions that will be a guide to you.For example, on homepage, content lets you see all videos that you prepared or found.Home provides you with diverse popular and rich videos.Curriculum enables you to classify your contents into different grade levels such as primary, middle and high school. And finally, my content is the point that you will start working on your contents.

-After you choose a video that you will work on, there are some options presented to you.For instance, you can assign it to a class, make it private or public, duplicate and finally edit it.Once you start editing a video, you can cut it to add multiple-choice or open-ended questions into certain parts that you want. You can also add your voice to the video via voiceover.Once you finish editing the video, you can assign it to your classes for a specific date that you will determine. If you want to make sure that all students will watch the video without skipping it, you can use the alternative "prevent skipping".

-You can register as a teacher or student. However, if you choose student profile, you have to attend to a class, otherwise edpuzzle won't provide you with a chance to start working on contents, which is a negative side of Edpuzzle according to me.

-You can see how many students have seen your videos and given correct/wrong answers to the questions and you can view their points.

-I made use of Edpuzzle to complete an assignment for a technology-related lesson of mine and I can say it's a handy web 2.0 tool that can be utilized in your lessons and especially distance-learning.Here is link to my interactive video that I edited and added open-ended and multiple-choice questions if you want to take a look at it.
